Introducing Remy and Laura (unedited)
We are two childhood friends born and raised in NY who share the same passion for travel. Our love for travel began as children when we would take yearly family trips together. Overtime, our love for traveling has developed into a passion that we both equally share and it is our hopes to inspire others to fulfill their dreams of traveling as well. When we aren’t traveling to new and exciting places, we are working as special educators.
As educators, we aim to teach our students to learn from their experiences and expand their horizons which is something we strive for throughout our travel experiences. Similar to that of our students, we are hoping to share our experiences as we believe that “Of all the books in the world, the best stories can be found between the pages of a passport.”

TwoTravelingChick’s Travel Speak – Travelogue (unedited)
Honolulu/Waikiki/Oahu
Our recent trip consisted of island hopping throughout Hawaii. We wanted adventure, beauty and serenity which is one of the reasons we chose Hawaii. Our trip began in Honolulu where we had the opportunity to explore the hustle and bustle of daily city life. We stayed in the center of Waikiki beach which was rich with diverse cuisines, nightlife and shopping.
We met such wonderful local people who made our time in Waikiki truly memorable. After spending a day in Waikiki, we decided to take a jeep tour to Oahu to explore major points of interest such as Diamond Head, Ka Iwi Coast, Lanai lookout and Makapuu lookout. We were fortunate enough to have a tour guide who was the winner of The Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race so we were able to have a rich culinary experience such as trying local foods. We really enjoyed the Poke and shaved ice which we learned are two main staples of the island.
In addition to our jeep tour, we ventured off to Kuola Ranch in which we rode ATV’S, did a jeep safari and explored various movie sets that were filmed there. This excursion was truly a memorable experience!
Maui
We started our trip to Maui with an authentic luau to expand our understanding the culture and history of the Polynesian people. Following the luau, we took a jeep tour to the Road to Hana. While in Hana, we swam in a natural pool, explored various waterfalls and sampled local foods (the banana bread… Oh my!). The Road to Hana was definitely a great way to experience the lush greenery of Maui while zipping through the winding roads.
In addition, we also took a tour to Halekalah to see the world acclaimed sunrise. This was truly a remarkable experience and is something we will truly never forget. Besides the excursions, we had the opportunity to eat at many highly regarded restaurants such as Plantation House, Mama’s Fish House and Fleetwood’s. On every trip, we always make sure we have a rich culinary experience.
Kauai
Kauai was our opportunity to experience the endless lush landscapes and beautiful beaches that many people dream about. While in Kauai, we were able to fulfill two of our bucket list items which were to fly in an open door helicopter and do a sunset zip line tour. The open door helicopter was everything we had imagined and much more. The adrenaline we felt flying over the Waimea Canyon and Napali Coast was unparalleled. The views were breathtaking as we had a birds eye view of the island below. There was a few bumps here and there in which we held on for dear life but that is just part of the course when doing an open door helicopter tour. Our second tour was a sunset zipline tour. Lucky for us, it was raining cats and dogs but this only made our experience that much more exciting. Just imagine ziplining into the night in a secluded jungle with rain coming down. A pretty cool experience if you ask us!
Our trip to Hawaii was everything that we hoped for and more. We met people that we will never forget and as Hawaiians say although it is goodbye for now, we know that it’s not goodbye forever. As the Hawaiian people would say it is until we meet again.
