Introducing Christopher Corless (unedited)
I’m 25 with a photography degree and have been devoted to travelling for around 7 years now.
I started taking photographs over 10 years ago and on my travels always have my camera with me.
I took a job on board cruise ships in 2013 so then I could travel all over the world and take photos while I do it. I met my fiancé on one of the ships and we spend our days travelling together.
Places Visited
I’ve been to 83 countries so far; from Norway to Israel, Tanzania to Bora Bora, Japan to Russia, there has been many places, but many more to go!
Favourite destinations:
Norway is tied first place with Japan. Both absolutely incredible countries!
Christopher’s Travel Speak – Travelogue (unedited)
During our last contract on the ship, we had a great time visiting many different places starting in the Mediterranean, going across to Jordan and Oman in the Middle East, and then sailing around different parts of Asia.
We started off seeing where parts of Games Of Thrones were filmed in Malta and Croatia, went shopping for our future yacht in Monaco, played gladiator at the coliseum in Rome and wandered the white and blue streets of Mykonos.
Towards the end of our 2 months in the Med we made some incredible stops in Israel to see Jerusalem, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee and even Bethlehem in Palestine. The history that is held in these places is incredible and a must-visit.
My personal favourite place that I was looking forward to the most in the contract was Petra, Jordan. One of the seven wonders of the world and one of the most famous archaeological sites. It is an absolute MUST if you’re even remotely interested in travel, history, ruins.. anything! Upon entering, there is a 35-30 minute walk through a tall canyon before you get the first glimpse of The Treasury, the main building. I had a surprise in store for my (then) girlfriend as on the internet I had seen a perfect photo spot on the edge of a cliff overlooking The Treasury. We found the way up to the perfect spot, up a lot of steps, ladders and through some narrow gaps but we finally made it. It was there I got down on one knee and asked my (then) girlfriend to officially be my other half! Importantly, she said yes so now she’s my fiancé!
The rest of that day was a beautiful blur, but we did carry on sailing and we continued the rest of our contract visiting places like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat in Oman, Hong Kong and Singapore where we have spent a lot of time before, Bangkok, Phuket and Mumbai.
It was a trip to remember!
